E Reader Woes

New toy and case
Well I had a bit of money squirreled away and bought myself and Kobo Ereader from Chapters.  Its not bad at all and was a treasure to read on the ferry trip to Vancouver.  I can see the benefits of this little beauty for longer trips, especially temporary duty that takes me far from home.  Load up the machine with my favorite mysteries and romances, pack your charging cord and you are set.  I think the only thing I don't like is you must charge it from a computer.  Most times this won't be an issue, but I would have liked another option as well.
My only issue right now is trying to download ebooks from the library.  I'm not sure whether its the laptop or the adobe digital editions program or what, but I can't get it to work and that is with the help of the library tech person ( who talked with the ereader folks.)  Go figure.  Guess for now I will just have to suck it up and buy the books I want, though lately I have been listening to talking books while I am quilting.  Have a thing for Stephen Coonts - Deep Black Series.  Love it despite some of the things written about can be realities in this day and age.
To welcome my Ereader in style I made a little case for it out of some left over cottons and batting.  I adapted a tutorial from One Shabby Chick that she made for an Ipad.  It turned out pretty good.  Now I want to make another version from a pattern I picked up while in Vancouver.  Its for a large pocket book, but will work just fine for a Ereader case and won't cost me $ 60.00.
