This month for Joy @ do. good stitches the block choose was a Project Linus block called Up and Away. Elaine wanted something that was colorful and bright. She made a lovely mosaic with samples of hot air balloons as inspiration.
So following this, I delved into my rowan fabric collection and used some florals to make my balloons. I am not sure if this quilt top is suppose to be more for a boy or girl, but I think the floral gives the block some neat texture.
