Christmas Food Preparations

I don't know about you, but I certainly like to have a lot of the work done for Christmas day when it comes to food.  No not getting a Christmas dinner from one of the hotels in the area either, though we did do that one year for the experience of it.  Nor is it getting the husband to make the turkey either, despite it being his job.  Yes his job.  We found this recipe watching Jamie Oliver one day and it is fantastic.  Turns out perfectly every time we make it.  Now we HE makes it every time we want a bird.

We will be adding to this a few other recipes of Jamies this year.  We will try his cranberry apple sauce along with the turkey leek pie for leftovers. Add some vegetables, mashed potatoes, stuffing, these little mouthfuls and Berry Almond trifle from Canadian Living and it will be a just great meal.  Way too much food of course, but lovely all the same.

This house has been smelling pretty awesome the last few days as I have been prepping the good for the big day! Hoping your day of preparations goes merry and right!
