Christmas Merry Go Round

In an earlier post I mentioned coming across a quilt kit of Christmas fabrics. I was going to make the pattern that it came with but after a second and third look it didn't appeal to me.  So I did some searching and found something in a magazine called Quilting Quickly Fall 2013.

I took two months to make this quilt, a lot longer than I expected but work got in the way and slowed down my time line. If I was to make this quilt again I think I would use a lighter solid background rather than a printed tone on tone like I did. To me this is very green and the lime green parts of the circles blend a bit too much into the background.
