Puppy Chronicles

Don't let these sweet little faces fool you. They are mischief makers and very clever puppies planning their next adventure.  Hoshi will stand away from a tall object looking to see what is on it, and then jump up trying to get it.  If there is something on the table, she has sat on the chair and pulled it to her.  So much for thinking that they would not be able to push out the chairs and get the stuff on the table.

And Akira, she likes nibble at the carpet, pulling up the threads so that it runs.  Good thing we had plans to replace the floor eventually downstairs, cause by the time she is through with it we will need a nice laminate.

Puppy Palace

I find I am missing the puppy palace and all the antics of these dogs.  If you ever want a good laugh just watch animals. If only I could be ask flexible as Akira in her downward dog position.

Sick Day for Puppies

Hoshi
The cone of shame, oh the cone of shame. It was time to take the puppies to get shots and that change of life. For the first two days things were pretty quiet around here as they dealt with pain and suffering.  But after a week and a few days they are perky, jumping and running, squawking their displeasure in their Sheba voice.

Akira
Cause we did not want them to infect each others stitches or tear them open by being rambuncious we kept them separated. It was interesting to watch them talk with each other through the stair railing and the baby gate. They would run up to each other and boink! The cones would get in the way of greeting each other.  So funny.

Feeling the Holiday Stress

These are photos of Hoshi and Akira.  They are Sheba Inu puppies that joined our family in the summer.  They are very sweet and provide no end of entertainment watching them figure out things. They have bad manners, jumping on people and furniture, nibbling toes and pieces of furniture.  But they are very loving and clever.  So clever.

Anyways I think they were picking up the stress of the holidays as most days we went from moments like the one above to the photo below. Poor things.  Hoshi looks quite ferocious doesn't she!

The Faces of Hoshi

I think we have a dog that thinks she is a super model.  I tell you, every time you get a camera out Hoshi is moving ( posing) herself.  Just take this photo.  Only two seconds before she had her paws out straight.  I take the camera out and she crosses them, sits her ears up. Its very funny to watch and when you look at the photos she actually looks really good.

But what a character.  She is very sweet and cuddly. She has a weird yawn that sounds like an opera singer trying to reach the high notes and loves to reach out her paw and touch you gently.  She is not very good at walking on the leash.  She likes to smell everything, and I mean everything.  She also is not afraid of water, hopping into the shower with you if you aren't watching.

She normally sleeps curled up into a dainty ball, but sometimes she rolls over and sleeps on her back with her feet up in the air. Very strange.
