Seated Cane Finish
Back in November, I was on for choosing the block for the do good stitches. I chose a block called Seated Cane in shades of blue, cream, white and grey. I put the top together and then took it to my friend Arlene to get it quilted on her nifty long arm machine.
We debated a bit over what kind of stitch to use. It was a toss up between two patterns that were more rounded to soften up the rather hard lines and angles of the quilt. In the end we went with a big loop that went up and down the quilt. It is a simple quilt pattern but quite effective don't you think?
