Feb Joy bee blocks
The blocks for this month were chosen by Mary Catherine who picked this pattern called Butterfly Strands by Faith at Fresh Lemons. She asked for colors of red and pink to brighten the dull month of February which in Canada means snow, snow and more snow to go with those -30 temperatures.

February Joy Blocks
This month for Joy @ do good stitches, Fiona chose a block by Rachel from Stitched in Color. This is a simple straight forward block that is done in color Fiona describes as ones you would find on your grandfathers bed when he was a boy.
I did some pulling of fabric in colors I thought would work and realized I have enough to make almost half a quilt! LOL. So I asked Fiona if she wants some extras to go with her collection. Anything to get rid of scraps and to whittle down the stash right?
